<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate charging irrespective of materials of which a high pressure gas tank for automotive fuel is made. <P>SOLUTION: From a vehicle 4 having a fuel gas utilization means, information on the kind of the high pressure gas tank 9 mounted in the vehicle and/or the permissible charging speed of fuel gas is received. Based on this information on the kind of the gas tank 9 and/or the permissible charging speed, charging of the fuel gas is controlled.
