REACTIVE SURFACTANT COMPOSITION FOR EMULSION POLYMERIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactive surface-active composition for emulsion polymerization that gives a polymer emulsion having excellent polymerization stability, mechanical stability and chemical stability and forms the polymeric coating film having good resistance to water. SOLUTION: The reactive surface-active composition for emulsion polymerization contains at least one selected from the unsaturated compounds represented by formula (I) or (II) (wherein R1is H or methyl; R2is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 4-18 carbon atoms; R3is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 2-17 carbon atoms; AO is an oxyalkylene group of 2-4 carbon atoms; p is an integer of 2-9; n is a number of from 5 to 200). A method of producing the polymer emulsion by polymerizing the composition. The polymer emulsion produced by using the emulsion and the polymer film prepared by using the polymer emulsion.
