PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear view mirror device with a built-in camera whose camera body can photograph a vivid image through a transparent cover. SOLUTION: The transparent cover 11 shuts off the splash of small stones and/or muddy water in association with running of an automobile, so that a failure can be precluded caused by breakage or contamination of the camera body 3C. In particular, the inner surface of the cover 11 is shielded from the outside owing to its waterproof structure, so that dust attachment is prevented, and the inside can be kept clean.
