PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the curl of a conveyance direction oriented sheet. SOLUTION: The fixing unit 100 includes a heating part 101 to heat the sheet, a pressure roller 106 to form a first nip N1 opposite to the heating part 101, a roller 107 after fixing arranged in the vicinity of a downstream in the sheet conveyance direction of the first nip N1, and a roller 108 which is opposite to the roller 107 after fixing and forms a second nip N2. The fixing unit 100 for fixing an unfixed image on the sheet while transporting the sheet further includes a projection 104a to guide the sheet having passed through the first nip N1 in either an upward direction or a downward direction (upward direction), a lower guide 109 after fixing to guide the sheet guided by the projection 104a in an opposite direction (downward direction) to the projection 104a, and an upper guide 110 after fixing to guide the sheet guided by the guide 109 to the second nip N2.
