INSTALLATION FOR RECYCLING AGRICULTURAL WASTE AND SIMILAR WASTE

The invention relates to an installation for recycling agricultural waste and similar waste, comprising three operations involving the separation of waste and faeces generated on pig farms and vegetable water and waste water from oil mills, in order to produce re-usable potable water in said installations. The inventive installation employs a Johnson screen and a perforated press cylinder in the first operation thereof involving the separation of the solid and liquid phases. The liquid phase thus obtained is subjected to a microfiltration/ultrafiltration process in an atmospheric pressure tank comprising lower air diffusers inside the filter columns, in order to separate the suspended fibrous matter and the macromolecular substances from the liquid phase. The final operation carried out by the installation employs a pressurised tank which is used to perform a reverse osmosis process in vertical membrane filter elements which are completely submerged in the liquid to be filtered and which are supported by a tubular structure and support plates. The upper part of each of the membrane filter elements is secured to the filter duct by means of a coupling element which is forced by a spring and an outer perforated cylinder, said cylinder providing lateral support for each of said elements. Moreover, the lower part of each of the aforementioned membrane filter elements comprises a collector for the filtered potable water.
