A projector (10) projects multiple pairs of stereo images onto a screen (11) with cylindrical lenses (12) as optical elements fitted vertically alongside each other to form a lens system. The screen emits the image of an object in different viewing directions to be picked up by the eyes (13,14) of an observer. If the observer moves in horizontal directions (15,16), he gets the impression of a three-dimensional image of the object. An Independent claim is also included for a method for projecting three-dimensional images.
