Method for preparation and execution of an e-commerce transaction between a supplier and a customer with the following steps: selection of variable characteristics of an offer by a user with a local computer; preparation of a request-specific offer on a remote server that incorporates customer requests; transfer of offer data to the customer local computer; generation of counter offer file on the local computer; and transfer of the counter offer file with at least one altered value for completion of the process. The invention also relates to a corresponding data processing system.
