<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress sound interference of strings with one another and to easily adjust the pitch of each string. <P>SOLUTION: A saddle 14 supports a string 12 and is attached to a bridge part 13. The saddle 14 is provided with a base member 22 attached to the bridge part 13, a string receiving member 23 combined with the base member 22 and corresponding to each string 12, a string pitch adjusting means 24 provided between the base member 22 and the string receiving member 23, and a piezoelectric element 25 for converting the vibration of the string into an electric signal.
