<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the function of a DPF having alkali metal catalyst carried thereon from being lowered by suppressing the excessive rise of exhaust emission temperature without deteriorating a fuel economy in an exhaust emission control device suitably used for a diesel engine with a turbo- charger. <P>SOLUTION: In the engine having the turbo-charger 40 for supercharging intake air by exhaust emission, particulates in the exhaust emission is arrested and deposited by a filter 51 installed in an exhaust passage on the downstream side of the turbine 42 of the turbo-charger 40. The filter 51 is regenerated by the alkali metal catalyst carried on the filter 51. The exhaust emission temperature near the filter 51 is detected by an exhaust emission temperature detection means 53 or predicted, and when the exhaust emission temperature exceeds a specified temperature, the supercharging pressure of the turbo-supercharger 40 is increased by a supercharging pressure control means 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
