摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device which prevents the light which is not made incident to a liquid crystal layer from being absorbed into a black matrix layer and being changed to heat. <P>SOLUTION: A black matrix layer consisting of the first layer of an aluminum alloy film 211 containing neodymium of thickness 500 &angst; as high reflectivity layer and the second layer of chromium film 212 of thickness 500 &angst; as light shielding film is formed on a glass substrate 3. An ITO film 21 of thickness 1100 &angst; is formed as a transparent electrode film 21 while covering the black matrix layer and the opening part. In the black matrix layer, the reflectivity on the side of aluminum alloy film 211 as high reflectivity layer arranged on the light source side is high and the reflectivity on the side of Cr film 212 arranged on the liquid crystal layer side of the opposite side thereof is sharply lower than that on the side of aluminum alloy film 211. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
