<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide capable of exerting excellent properties as a piezoelectric material, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The oxide having a perovskite structure comprises a component A, a component B and oxygen, wherein the component A denotes an alkali metal element, an alkaline earth metal element (except Mg), a lanthanide rare earth element, at least one of Sc, Y, Cd, Pb and Bi; and the component B denotes at least one of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Ga, Ge, As, Se, In, Sn, Sb, Te and Mg.
