PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil from infiltrating inside a balancer housing from oil drain holes even when the balancer housing is slantingly arranged to the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The balancer housing 17 is arranged so as to face to an oil pan under a crankshaft, and is formed by joining an upper housing 29 and a lower housing 30 by a mating face P, and the height of the mating face P becomes lower on the car body front side than the car body rear side. The oil drain holes 45a and 46 for externally draining the inside oil of the balancer housing 17 are formed in the mating face P on the high side of the balancer housing 17, and are formed in the upper housing 29 above the mating face P on the low side of the balancer housing 17. Thus, a position of the low side oil drain hole 45a is heightened as much as possible to restrain the oil from infiltrating inside the balancer housing 17 from the position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
