PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which generates no electrostatic charge spot even when exposed to leakage light from a flash fixing means and does not undergo lowering of electrostatic chargeability and sensitivity even after repeated use and to provide an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor having on a supporting substrate a photoconductive layer containing a charge generating agent and a charge transport agent in the same layer, wherein the charge transport agent has a half-value wavelength region of ah absorption peak within the wavelength region obtained by removing the wavelength of exposure from a visible wavelength region in which the intensity of flashlight emitted by a flash fixing device becomes≥1/2 time the maximum intensity is used in an image forming apparatus with a flash fixing means.
