PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device for ground steel plates allowing the ground steel plates to be connected to each other without welding and preventing a clearance from being formed between the end faces of the connected ground steel plates. SOLUTION: This connection device for the steel plates 1 connects adjacent ground steel plates 1 and 1 to each other with the end faces 1a and 1a thereof abutted on each other. The device comprises a connection device body 2 of a channel shape in cross section engaged with both ground steel plates 1 and 1 so as to hold the upper and lower surfaces of the adjacent ground steel plates 1 and 1 from the side end faces 1b and 1b sides orthogonal to the end faces 1a and 1a of the ground steel plates 1 and 1 and a wedge material 3 driven between the connection device body 2 and the upper surface of the ground steel plates 1 and 1.
