PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pencil type cosmetic obtained by filling a cosmetic in a cylindrical shaft made from a transparent resin, excellent in stability of the shaft, also excellent in stability and using property of the cosmetic and having a good appearance. SOLUTION: This pencil type cosmetic obtained by filling the softened cosmetic into a shaft hole of the cylindrical shaft made from the transparent resin by using a composite material containing an olefinic polymer and solidifying, and used by shaving the tip end side of the cylindrical shaft is provided by coating a composition containing 1 kind or≥2 kinds selected from a group consisting of a film-forming resin, an organic modified clay mineral and a dextrin fatty acid ester, and a powdery material on the inside wall of the cylindrical shaft made from the transparent resin, and also a liquid oil component containing at least silicone oil is contained in the cosmetic.
