<p>A scanner system comprises a scanner (1), computers (2) sharing the scanner, a network (4) connecting the scanner and computers, and a scanner controller (3) connected between the network (4) and the scanner (1). The computer (2) comprises a device driver (22), which controls the scanner (1) and at the same time informs the scanner controller (3) of an event occurring in the device driver (22), and an application (21) that controls the device driver. In response to an input of a trigger from the scanner controller (3), the application (21) starts the device driver (22). The device driver (22), when started, receives image data from the scanner controller (3) via the application (21).</p> |
