<p>A photocatalyst which has high catalytic activity, is nontoxic, has a long life, enables visible light to be utilized as it is in a photocatalytic reaction, and is useful especially in hydrogen generation; and a process for producing the catalyst. The catalyst is characterized by containing cadmium sulfide, having a capsular structure, and has platinum deposited thereon. The process comprises bubbling H2S gas into a liquid containing cadmium oxide particles.</p> |
