<p>The invention relates to a method for starting an engine (11) and stopping the engine after the engine has started, comprising the steps of:starting the engine by affecting, e.g. depressing or touching, an activation means (3) of a remote control unit (2);staying in physical contact with the activation means after the engine has been started; and stopping the engine by releasing the physical contact with the activation means before a predetermined time has passed after the engine has started.
