PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for heat treatment of a metallic carrier with which the fastening and the decomposing works with bolts nuts, and the like, can be omitted, and also, the heat treatment under the state of piling the metallic carrier in plural steps in the vertical direction can be performed without deformation the metallic carrier in the axial direction and the consumption of energy at the heat treatment time can be reduced. SOLUTION: This jig for heat treatment is composed of a carbon composite material and formed as a box-like body having an opening part at the upper surface side and constituted of faced long side directional side plates 11, 11, faced short side directional side plates 12, 12 and a bottom plate 13, and the depth H of the box-like body is so formed as to be a little deeper than the length in the axial direction of the metallic carrier 2. Further, the mutual interval of both short side directional side plates 12, 12 is formed so as to have a wider width having sufficient room than the long diameter side in the finish product-form of the metallic carrier 2 and the mutual interval of both long side directional side plates 11, 11 is set as the interval almost coinciding with the length of the short diameter side in the finish product-form of the metallic carrier 2.
