PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically shorten the new installation work time of a cooling piping and to improve the degree of freedom in the profile of a furnace bottom and the arrangement of the cooling piping. SOLUTION: An existing cooling piping 4 disposed at the lower side of the bottom plate 2 in a blast furnace and a newly installed cooling piping 10 disposed on the upper side of the bottom plate 2 are provided. The newly installed cooling piping 10 is formed as a double pipe structure, and its inner pipe 20 is used for the flow-passage 22 for cooling water and also a high heat conductivity filling material 23 is filled into the space between the inner pipe 20 and the outer pipe 30.
