PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain veneer fancy plywood having highly waterproof performance and crack resistance and not containing formaldehyde. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition for veneer fancy plywood is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. solid content of a water-based resin emulsion characterized in that Tg is -40 deg.C to 90 deg.C and a carboxy group-containing monomer is copolymerized in an amount of 0.05-7 wt.% based on monomers and pH is 4-8 with 1-50 pts.wt. crosslinking agent. This veneer fancy plywood is obtained by the above adhesive composition.
