The switch operator (1) has an operating section (2) with an inductively activated LC resonant circuit (3) for providing an electromagnetic AC field of given frequency in reaction to an activation signal and a fixing section (6) for attachment to a protection device. A conductor loop (8), with a capacitor (7) connected in parallel with the capacitor (5) of the LC resonant circuit, extends between the fixing section and the operating section.
