PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field detecting element integrated on a printed circuit board which is excellent in terms of mass-productivity and cost, and ultra-small in size while minimizing a magnetic flux leakage by forming a closed magnetic path, and exhibiting a high-sensitivity characteristic through a magnetic field detection using a differential drive. SOLUTION: The magnetic field detecting element comprises two soft magnetic cores, an excitation coil, and a magnetic field change detecting coil. The two cores are bar-shaped and stacked vertically to constitute a closed magnetic path on the PCB. The excitation coil is made of a metal film and wound around the two cores in the shape of '8' to form a combined-type structure. The magnetic field change detecting coil is made of a metal film and wound around the two cores together in a solenoid shape on the same plane as the outermost surface of the excitation coil.
