<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planographic printing plate and a method for making the same capable of ensuring both non-stain and printing resistance in printing without impairing image forming properties and capable of dispersion-stabilizing a developer for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: An original plate for planographic printing plate is provided which has on an aluminum support a photopolymerizable photosensitive layer comprising a polyurethane resin binder synthesized from a diisocyanate compound, a diol compound having a carboxyl group, a diol compound whose logP value is <0 and a diol compound whose logP value is >0. In the method for making a planographic printing plate, the planographic printing plate precursor is imagewise exposed and developed with an alkali developer containing a nonionic compound represented by the formula A-W (where A is a hydrophobic organic group having a logP of A-H of ≥1.5 and W is a nonionic hydrophilic organic group having a logP of W-H of <1.0) and having an SiO<SB>2</SB>to M<SB>2</SB>O molar ratio (M is an alkali metal or ammonium), a pH and an electric conductivity each in a certain range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
