PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing function by allowing attachment or detachment of an independent unit having a sheet processing function to a mechanism usable as a simple sheet loading device.

SOLUTION: A basic unit B11 comprises an inlet roller pair 101 and an intermediate roller pair 102 for conveying a sheet, a sheet conveying path B3 for guiding the sheet conveyed by the inlet roller pair and the intermediate roller pair, and a pair of sheet discharging rollers 105 and 106 for discharging the sheet conveyed through the sheet conveying path. The sheet conveying path B3 has a hole B1 allowing selective attachment or detachment of a conveying path unit C that constitutes part of the sheet conveying path and guides one side of the sheet and a stapler unit for processing the sheet.
