PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control accuracy of a solenoid operated valve using a spring and mass vibration system model. SOLUTION: A period for an armature being operated in engagement with a valve element and a period for the armature only being operated in no- engagement therewith are determined from positional information for the armature (S118) and a model parameter is changed over (S120, S128). Thus, the model parameter is suitably set at all times in response to the actual change of a spring and mass vibration system and the control accuracy of the solenoid operated valve using the model is improved.
