PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a snow melting cost and to improve snow melting efficiency. SOLUTION: This snow melting apparatus for a snow melting vehicle is provided with a screw means 8; a casing 10 provided to cylindrically cover the outside of the screw means 8 and provided with a water separating hole 10a for drainage at least at a lower part; hot water supply nozzles 7a, 7b for jetting hot water supplied from a water storage tank 5, to snow taken into the casing 10 from a hopper 4; and a recirculating means for recovering the hot water jetted from the hot water supply nozzles and drained to the outside of the casing from the water separating hole 10a, and recirculating it to the water storage tank 5. The snow mixed and agitated in the casing 10 with the hot water supplied from the hot water nozzles 7a, 7b is force-fed in a sleet or sherbet state by the screw means 8 and discharged to the outside of a snow melting tank 3.
