A distributor unit on the machine sprinkles single particles (5) onto a moving belt and molds them into a mat of pressed material which is transferred into a multi-platen press or continuously operating press. The mat is compressed (4) under pressure and heat; hardened and the wood derivative panel (6) given a structured frictional coating. Glue (7) is applied in dots, lines or stripes as drops (8) onto the top and or bottom side of the panel. A coating of frictional material (9) is applied on top. The frictional material not bonded with glue is removed from the panel's surface.
