One face of the web (12) is addressed by at least six plate cylinders (07a,07b) and three cylinders set off with the respective cylinders facing one another across the web or surmounted and/or offset to one side, addressed and set off cylinders to be axi-symmetrical and powered individually or in common. Each plate cylinder has its own inker (08a,08b) and the web path describes a U figure with two printing gaps (14a,14b) on the respective legs of the U figure as convexly curved. The plate cylinder side plate mounts of the machine can be moved relative one another for gap (14a,14b) control.
