The present invention relates to a method and a device for air-conditioning buildings, in which a refrigerator (10) cools a refrigerant, which is supplied to users (11); when there is a small need for cold, the cold energy of the refrigerant is given up to a liquid which is supplied to a sprinkler basin (1, 2), and when there is an increased demand for cold, the cold energy of the liquid is additionally supplied to the refrigerant. Means are provided to maintain a temperature stratification in the sprinkler basin; both the supply of cold liquid to the sprinkler basin (1, 2) and the removal of cold liquid from the sprinkler basin (1, 2) respectively take place in, or respectively from, the lower region of the sprinkler basin (1, 2). |
