OPTICAL CABLE CONNECTION BOX

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom of an optical cable introducing direction, to change the introducing direction, to change an array of optical cable, and to adapt to variation in necessary length of a cable outside a connection box.

SOLUTION: The connection box has a lower case 10 and an upper case 12 which is stacked on the lower case by hinge coupling. The lower case 10 is provided with a plurality of cable grip parts 22 at a plurality of circumferential places so that optical cables 16A and 16B can be introduced from different directions and also provided with a cable storage part 28 where the introduced optical cables are stored without having their clads stripped while wound in the same direction. The upper case 12 comprises a lower-layer tray 12A and an upper-layer tray 12B stacked on the lower-layer tray. The lower-layer tray 12A is provided with a cable draw-in part 30 in which an optical cable raised from the lower case 10 is led. The upper-layer tray 12B is provided with a coated optical fiber storage part which stores a coated optical fiber raised from the lower-layer tray 12A and its connection part.
