<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register an unregistered word that has not been registered in a dictionary by more accurately clustering the unregistered word. <P>SOLUTION: A word dictionary stored in a dictionary storage part 25 stores the RGB values of an image corresponding to a word in addition to the headline of the word and a phoneme sequence. For example, RGB values representing red are stored in a word 'red'. A matching part 23 refers to the word dictionary to perform matching processing on the basis of both a speech feature vector extracted by a feature extraction part 22 and the feature vector of an image extracted by a feature extraction part 42. When, for example, the speech of 'a red ball' is inputted, the 'red' part is subjected to recognition processing by utilizing the speech and also the feature as an image.
