<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in strength of a swash ring due to increase of a size of spherical member formed to an end of a pivot to increase a size of a pivot hole of the swash ring. <P>SOLUTION: This variable displacement compressor comprises: a drive shaft 8; a sleeve 10 externally fitted to the drive shaft to be slidable in an axial direction; the swash ring 13 to which the drive shaft is inserted and which is supported by the sleeve with a variable inclined angle with respect to the drive shaft; the pivot 14 with one end fixed, to the drive shaft and the other end formed with the spherical body; the pivot hole 13a formed to the swash ring and receiving slidably the spherical body of the pivot; and a piston 15 extending in parallel with the drive shaft and slidably engaged to the swash ring via a pair of shoes. The compressor adjusts a pressure in a crankcase 2 to change a piston stroke. In this compressor, the two pivots 14 and the tow pivot holes 13a extend in parallel with a plan including a top dead center of the swash ring 13 and a center axial line of the drive shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
