<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for forming an image free from image failures even in the case of using an intermediate transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a control means for preventing a non-contact magnetic developing means from being driven before the electrification starting position of a non-image part potential formed on a photoreceptor reaches the position facing the photoreceptor of the non- contact magnetic developing means at normal developing, and then, applying a prescribed voltage on the developing means, that is, applying only the DC high voltage higher than that required for image formation on the same polarity side as that of the electrified photoreceptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
