PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a sealing material, to maintain stable sealability and prevent outflow of furnace gas to the outside of a furnace, in a soot blower cleaning a heat exchanger tube by inserting an injection pipe from the outside of the furnace and blowing steam or the like with respect to the heat exchanger tube of a heat exchanger such as a boiler with a pressure of the furnace gas maintained high like a gasifying furnace. SOLUTION: A connecting pipe is provided to match a furnace inserting position of the injection pipe supplying cleaning gas, a seal box is connected to the connecting pipe via an insertion cutoff valve and seal gas such as nitrogen gas or the like can be supplied to the seal box. By this, in normal times not needing insertion of the injection pipe, the furnace is sealed by the insertion cutoff valve via the connecting pipe, and when insertion of the injection pipe is needed and the insertion cutoff valve is opened, the outflow of the furnace gas to the outside of the furnace is prevented by supplying the seal gas to the seal box and leaking the seal gas to the outside.
