PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation type tube wall thickness meter capable of accurately measuring the wall thickness of a tube with a simple structure by a single radiation generator. SOLUTION: This radiation type tube wall thickness meter used for measuring the wall thickness of the tube 3 by irradiating, with a beam radiation 10 from the radiation generator 1, a measuring tube 3 in transportation and by detecting the amount of the radiation penetrated through the tube 3 with a radiation detector 4, is characterized by being provided with a memory circuit part 8 for memorizing radiation transmission characteristics for various reference thicknesses obtained by combining a plurality of flat reference plates; and a thickness calculation processing part 7 for calculating the wall thickness of the tube by comparing the amount of the radiation detected by the radiation detector 4 with a radiation transmission characteristic curve to obtain the correction factor of an error of the calculated wall thickness due to an arc-like curve according to the tube diameter and thereby using the error correction factor.
