PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save electric power by effectively utilizing the excess light of a rear projector. SOLUTION: The rear projector 100 is constructed by installing a solar battery panel 10 along a screen frame 7 into which a frame shaped transmission screen 5 is built. The projected light parted by the screen frame 6 is photoelectrically converted by the solar battery panel 10, is accumulated in a secondary battery, and is used for standby power, driving power for a cooling fan, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
