PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized light coupler which comprises a small number of components and is small-sized and easy to handle at a low price. SOLUTION: The polarized light coupler 1 is constituted by arranging a photonic crystal 20 as an element, which transmits linearly polarized light in a specified direction, but reflects linearly polarized light orthogonal to the linear polarized light for optical coupling between opposite collimators, between the optical fiber collimators 11 and 12 which are arranged opposite each other.
