PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for putting marks to spectacle lenses, and a marking method for adding more detail information relating to the marked spectacle lenses with the sizes and appearance similar to those of the conventional hidden marks to the marks by imparting design characteristics thereto and the marked spectacle lenses. SOLUTION: The hidden marks are formed by combining any one or more of characters, symbols and graphics minuter than the hidden marks with approximately the same sizes and approximately the same shapes as those of the conventional hidden marks. Such marks have the appearance similar to that of the conventional marks and can impart the detail information relating to the spectacle lenses to all of the spectacle lenses by imparting the design characteristics thereto.
