PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod integrator which saves the trouble to manufacture and can be suppressed in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A sheet 10 of tens ofμm in thickness with a light reflecting function is prepared, folded in order with its reflecting surface in and rolled to form a quadrangular prism. Matching surfaces 110 of end parts of the sheet 10 are stuck together with an adhesive to manufacture the rod integrator 100. The rod integrator 100 which is thus manufactured is in a rod shape on the whole and hollow and has quadrangular opening at both end parts, the internal wall surface 120 being entirely a light reflecting surface.
