Artificial sponge washing assembly directs water jets tangentially at sponge on rotating spindle

An assembly washes artificial sponge employed as a filter in a fish pond. The assembly is a vessel (3) e.g. bucket with an internal sponge holder (5) rotating on a shaft (4). A water pipe (7) has an array of jets (9) and is directed tangentially at the sponge surface (6), setting up and maintaining sponge rotation.
