PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform biological denitrification by effectively preventing the clogging of a separation membrane caused by the precipitation of calcium. SOLUTION: Wastewater containing calcium and nitrogen is subjected to nitrification treatment in a nitrification tank 10. The treated wastewater is successively subjected to denitrification treatment in a denitrification tank 20 and oxidation treatment in an oxidation tank 36 to obtain treated water by an immersion membrane apparatus 40 arranged in the oxidation tank 36. The total concentration of phosphorus in the treated water is detected by a total phosphorus automatic analyzer 50 and the injection amount of phosphoric acid into the nitrification tank 10 by a phosphoric acid injection pump 48 is controlled so that the detection value becomes a predetermined low concentration.
