PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic rice polishing apparatus which permits taking out of a tray without requiring much labor and time while assuring convenience by providing the apparatus with a stage. SOLUTION: A stone removing machine 2 and a stage 4 disposed at the point just before an unpolished rice feeding port 6 are liftably constructed and a stage aperture 4g exposable outside when an elevator platform 4f at the stage 4 is risen to a high position side for feeding is disposed. A tray 76 for receiving the unpolished rice jumping out of a screen of a stone removing machine 2 is constructed removably outside through the stage aperture 4g. As a result, the elevator platform 4f is risen and the tray 76 can be taken outside from the stage aperture 4g facing outside in recovering the unpolished rice accumulated on the tray 76. Further, the tray 76 cannot be taken out unless the elevator platform 4f is risen and therefore the taking out of the unpolished rice by a passerby exclusive of a customer can be prevented.
