DEODORIZATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization method and apparatus which facilitate the maintenance and control of the structure of the apparatus along with a high efficiency and less cost by removing odor components accurately despite the concentration of the odor components. SOLUTION: In the deodorization method, gases containing the odor components are forcibly passed and irradiated with electron beams to decompose the odor components. The electron beams have the width thereof in the direction of the axis orthogonal to the direction of the passage of the gases through almost the center point of the section of a gas passageway and irradiate the gases in the direction orthogonal to the direction of the axis and at least in two directions that cross all the directions of the gases passing from near the axis to decompose the odor components contained in the gases.
