PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner by which the using form of a canister type or an upright type can be selected and which can easily be moved and operated in either using state. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner A has a sucking port body 14 connected with a vacuum cleaner main body 11 incorporating an electric blower 16 and a dust collection part 15 arranged on the air suction side of the blower 16 via a connection pipe (a sucking hose 12 and an extension pipe 13). At the rear part of the vacuum cleaner main body 11, a battery 18 is provided. At the connection pipe (12 and 13), a supporting part 35 is provided. A part to be supported 25 to be supported attachably and detachably by the supporting part 35 is formed at the vacuum cleaner main body 11. In the state of attachably and detachably supporting the part to be supported 25 by the supporting part 35 to support the vacuum cleaner main body 11 by the connection pipe (12 and 13), the battery 18 is arranged closer to a floor surface F.
