PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically driven reel for fishing with which electrically driven winding operation by a spool motor is carried out even if trouble occurs in a controller itself for controlling various kinds of functions of a fishing line measuring device, etc. SOLUTION: In the electrically driven reel equipped with a spool rotatably supported on a reel main body, the spool motor for driving the spool, a cord connection part for connecting an electricity supply cord to an external power source and a control means for controlling various functions incorporated into a memory means by electric power from the external power source, the reel body is equipped with a cord connection part for emergency to which the electricity supply cord is connected, the spool motor is directly driven by electric power supplied from the external power source through the cord connection part for emergency in place of the control by the control means.
