PURPOSE: Provided are an electrode, an assembly of electrically conducting current collector, and an application method of the collector, which increase a contact surface between the collector and the electrode so as to substantially improve an efficiency of battery. CONSTITUTION: In the method for applying an electrically conducting current collector on a self-supporting electrode, electrically conducting layer forming the collector is provided. The electrically conducting layer is provided on the surface of the electrode. The layer is formed by physical or chemical vapor deposition, sputtering and electroplating. A corrosion resistant layer is formed on the electrically conducting layer . The electrode and assembly of electrically conducting current collector are obtained by the method. In the electrode and assembly, the electrically conducting current collector is provided on positive electrode.
