PURPOSE: A method for servicing Internet telephone conversation is provided to assign telephone numbers distinguished from general phone numbers to every kind of Internet phones, so as to implement calls between the Internet phones and general phones. CONSTITUTION: An Internet phone periodically transmits status information to a managing server. The managing server updates the status information to store the information, and stores the corresponding Internet phone as a communicable status. The managing server requests the Internet phone to deliver the status information when the status information is not transmitted. If the Internet phone does not respond, the managing server stores the Internet phone as an incommunicable status. If a call request signal is received and an Internet phone of a called party is communicable, the managing server transmits information on the Internet phone of the called party to a call requesting Internet phone. If the Internet phone of the called party is incommunicable, the managing server transmits an incommunicable status to the calling Internet phone. The calling Internet phone forms a speech path through a call signaling with the called Internet phone by using the received information of the called Internet phone.
