PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinner device for forming a tire for improving the degree of adhesion of a tread to a ply and having a long life. SOLUTION: The device has a metallic discal spinner 3 advancing and retracting in contact with a green cover 1 formed on a forming drum 1 so that the maximum thickness of the tread becomes 4-15 mm. The width dimension of the spinner 3 is set to 10-18 mm, and the outer diameter thereof is set to 110-150 mm. Furthermore, a plurality of peripheral grooves 4 are formed on the outer peripheral face 3a of the spinner 3, and the groove area is set to 13-40% of the surface area of the spinner 3.
