Lateral arm for a wheel suspension

Suspension arm (1) comprises an L-shaped shell body (2) made of sheet metal having a curved section (5) between two longitudinal sections (3, 4). The shell body has a base (12) with arms (13-15) on its sides. Webs (16-18) facing inward toward the central longitudinal plane (ML) of the shell body are joined in one piece to the arms. An Independent claim is also included for the production of a shell body for the above suspension arm. Preferred Features: The web (16) is wider on the inner periphery of the curved section than at its ends (19, 20). At the end of the longitudinal sections the arms run downward at an angle toward the base.
